In recent years, there has been an influx of new and improved HD camera technologies on the market, and it has made the process of selecting security equipment much more complicated than ever before, especially since the improvements in camera resolution on the analog HD formats are not backward-compatible with the lower-resolution analog HD DVRs. 

IP systems, or a la carte IP cameras and NVRs: Pros: digital HD, high resolution in excess of 4K, easier installation with PoE (power over Ethernet), several advanced features over analog. Cons: usually requires network knowledge and pre-configuration. Compatibility becomes an issue when using multiple brands.

HD-SDI, EX-SDI systems by Eyemax, or EX-SDI cameras and DVRs: digital HD up to 1080p. Little compatibility with analog HD solutions. More stringent requirements on professional quality cable.

HD-TVI systems or HD-TVI cameras and DVRs: including Hikvision, LTS, and other OEMs*: analog HD at 720P, 1080P, 3MP, 5MP, and 4K. 

HD-CVI systems or HD-CVI cameras and DVRs: including Dahua and Dahua OEMs*: analog HD up to 4K, easier installation with POC (power over Coax). 

AHD: analog HD up to 1080p.

The minimum project size requiring new installation is at least 12 cameras and a minimum spend of at least $2500. We do offer equipment only with a lower minimum of $500 for first-time customers, and we do offer remote programming services (such as programming cameras, recorders, and VMSes) with no minimum spend.
