HD-SDI DVRs
An HD-SDI DVR records HD cameras at 720P (1.3 megapixels) or Full HD 1080P (2.1 megapixels) over quality coaxial RG59 or RG6 cable. This is a popular option for those who are upgrading existing systems which have quality coaxial cable already installed. It's also ideal for those who don't want to bother with programming IP address of IP network cameras.
The very thin coaxial or Siamese cable (usually pre-made lengths) will not transmit an HD signal. And if the cable's distance is beyond 100-150 feet, an HD-SDI extender may have to be used. An HD-SDI DVR cannot accept analog BNC inputs, unless it specifically lists that capability. Our MAG-Series DVRs are capable of accepting and automatically recognizing D1, 960H, and SDI cameras.
