PC-based NVRs are typically ideal for SMB commercial applications, NDAA government applications, mission-critical applications, and other deployments where better features are more important than price. Generally, PC-based NVRs run some type of VMS (video management system) such as Milestone XProtect, DW Spectrum, or Dahua DSS. PC-based NVRs are better suited for scalability, flexibility, and future upgrades in software and cameras whereas standalone NVRs typically must be replaced to accommodate new technology and higher throughput requirements.
Custom Video Security offers PC-based NVRs from various server partners such as Seneca, Milestone Husky, Digital Watchdog, and BCD Video. We also offer lower-cost custom NVRs, which are built and shipped from Southern California generally within 4-5 business days.
In addition, we have lower-cost custom RAID NVRs and storage appliances, as well as custom-built viewing stations that have been used in casino and police station applications to power multi-screen 4K video walls. We sell these systems to both end-users and dealers, and we can often discuss volume-based discounts and custom logos for dealers who purchase our custom-built systems.

Most PC-based systems feature an energy-efficient power suppply, Windows 10 64-bit, and a 3-year warranty at minimum. We have built over 1000 PC-based systems since 2006, and thanks to advances in technology, we offer free remote NVR assistance to our customers with our PC-based systems.
Various customizations include dual-Gigabit Ethernet cards, SFP/SFP+ 10Gbps Fiber, redundant power supplies, RAID storage, multi-output video card(s) for TV wall, case (Rackmount 4U, 3U, 2U, ATX/Desktop, Mini ITX Cube), keyboard/mouse (wired, wireless), and more. We have several storage solutions available, which offer unlimited amounts of redundant storage to record cameras for several years if necessary.
