Using a 420TVL or higher analog camera with a 5-100mm varifocal lens, you could only typically see the denominations of a dollar bill if the camera was mounted just above the register and pointing at the cash drawer. At 2 MP, you can see cash denominations from several feet away in complete clarity WHILE AT THE SAME TIME viewing plenty of other image space surrounding the register, both inside and outside of the store.
Use the wired connection if you already have Cat5 or Cat6 network cable runs available, or if it's easy to run the cables. Wired connections are always better and more reliable than wireless. In case you cannot run a wired connection, simply use the wireless 802.11b/g connection for a hassle-free, easy installation. Simply connect the camera to a power source, or use the included power adapter.
