The Arecont Vision 12VM1040ASI by Tamron is a 10-40mm varifocal lens that can be used with any Arecont Vision megapixel camera. It can also be used with CCTV cameras from any other manufacturer, provided they are equipped with a 1/2" or 1/3" images sensor and have a C-type lens mount. The great thing about a varifocal lens is the ability to manually change the focal length without having to acquire a different lens or move the camera from its installation point.
